Mindfulness-based inclusion training

October 19, 2023 @ 9:30 am - 4:30 pm BST

£99

This masterclass looks at what mindfulness can contribute to social inclusion, and what awareness of our social context can bring to mindfulness.

We look at how our differences can unite rather than separate us and how mindfulness can be culturally adapted to serve diverse communities and individuals in ways that are grounded in justice, equality, diversity, and inclusion.

Bio

We aim to improve the wellbeing and mental health of all people who can benefit from mindfulness. We do this by running mindfulness and compassion programmes, training teachers, and conducting research. The Sussex Mindfulness Centre is part of the Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. We are the only mindfulness and Mindful Self-Compassion teacher training and research centre embedded in the NHS. We bring together teachers, teacher trainers and researchers of mindfulness-based approaches. This includes a partnership of Trust staff, experienced researchers at the University of Sussex, and experienced teachers and trainers in the local community. We have good links with local teachers, as well as with trainers and researchers in other mindfulness centres and universities in the UK.
