Mindful Self Compassion Introductory Workshop

Join Judith in person on Saturday, August 19 in Nevada City, California, for a 6 hour introduction to the Mindful Self Compassion curriculum developed by Christopher Germer and Kristin Neff.

So, what is Mindful Self Compassion? Simply put, it is “loving connected presence.” The class trains the mind and heart through a combination of secular meditation, experiential exercises, discussion, and education. By growing a kinder, more supportive relationship with ourselves, we increase our capacity for emotional resilience, wisdom, and well-being in all areas of life. While the class is not therapy, it can be therapeutic in its impact.

This one day class draws upon the full 8-week-plus-retreat curriculum to will help us dip our toes into the practices, learn some of the basic concepts and challenges, create connection with other humans, and identify some ways to bring self compassion into our daily lives.
