Meditation for February: Light, Renewal + Awakening
February 2, 2026 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm UTC-5

As we approach the midpoint between the winter solstice and the spring equinox—a time known by many names, including Imbolc, Candlemas and Brigid’s Day—I’m offering two meditation gatherings.
Traditionally, early February marks a time of quiet renewal: tending what is still forming, listening for what’s beginning to stir, honoring the slow return of light. It’s a cocooning, liminal time of year that is intertwined with the earliest signs of spring and the reawakening of the earth.
As we turn the corner of winter, what plans, ideas or dreams are you hatching? This season offers an opportunity to refresh ourselves—our homes, minds, bodies and spirits—to reconnect with our intentions for this year, release what’s ready to go, and prepare for the new growth that spring will bring (in the northern hemisphere).
Our virtual time together includes a short talk on seasonal themes and histories of this time; guided meditations; and time to journal or share. If you wish, bring a candle, something to represent growth or renewal, or anything that connects you to the season.
No prior meditation experience is required—these gatherings are welcoming and accessible to newcomers.
If this is your first time joining me, please come as my guest. If you’ve attended before, I invite you to consider a $25 contribution to support my teaching and the continuation of this work.
