I work with people struggling with their feelings or circumstances, unable to understand why they're unhappy find it difficult to truly care for themselves and their feelings, are deeply self-critical, or can’t understand why they're unhappy—because I once felt the same way. I can help you develop personal insight, learn to meet struggles with kindness and wisdom, and cultivate new habits of mind and behavior through compassionate listening, sensitive reflection, and guided meditation instruction. My new book, Navigating Grief and Loss: 25 Buddhist Practices to Keep Your Heart Open, was recently published by Prometheus Books, and a revised edition of my first book, Steady, Calm, and Brave, will be released in February 2023. You can learn more about me and my work at my website, www.meditationwithheart.com.

Meditation Teacher and Author
IMTA-accredited CMT-P from 200 Hour Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Training Program
I completed a 200 hour Mindfulness Teacher Training (accredited by the IMTA) in 2011, and am a Buddhist student for nearly two decades.
16 years

Completed a year-long 200 hour Teacher Training Program in 2011. The focus of the program was an intensive course of study and experiential learning and personal practice. Topics included the science and psychology of contemporary mindfulness, the foundations of mindfulness through Buddhist teachings, and teacher pedagogy including best practices and ethics. I've continued my professional development with many retreats and workshops, including trauma-informed training, mindfulness for children workshops, the transforming white privilege curriculum, and many silent personal meditation retreats at IMS.

My main teachers are Sharon Salzberg and Ven. Robina Courtin, and I train and study in both the Tibetan and Insight traditions.
