Angie Kingma has over 20 years of experience working in a variety of mental health settings, including hospital based, home care, auto insurance and private practice. She is a certified facilitator of Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) and has applied this program to a variety of populations such as individuals with anxiety, depression, and chronic pain, as well as to hospital staff. She is an approved MBCT Mentor at the Centre for Mindfulness Studies and also teaches Mindfulness-Based Chronic Pain Management (MBCPM) at the University of Toronto. Angie facilitates DBT and CBT group psychotherapy at Trillium Health Partners (THP) and has her own private practice Mindfulness for Health. She co-founded Mindfulness Halton/Peel Professionals Community and Mindfulness Mondays for staff at THP. She has a daily meditation practice and loves to weave mindfulness into everyday moments.
