Nurturing Mindfulness Meditation Weekend Retreat.  Rediscover. Reconnect. Rejuvenate.

Take a pause from the busyness of daily life and reconnect with the natural world and your inner self at our Nurturing Mindfulness Meditation Retreat. Nestled in the beautiful mountains of West Ireland, this weekend retreat promises a rejuvenating blend of mindfulness, nature, and self-connection.

Your Retreat Experience will include:

Mindfulness Meditation: Immerse yourself in the present moment with guided mindfulness meditation sessions, set against the backdrop of woodlands and panoramic mountain views. Learn techniques to cultivate focus, clarity and inner calm.
Mindful Walking in Nature: Allowing the beauty of nature to awaken your senses, still the mind, and restore a deep connection with the earth beneath your feet via guided Mindful Walking sessions. There will also be opportunity to explore the woods and the walking paths in your own time.
Stress Reduction Workshops: Sheena and Claire will guide you through experiential workshops, helping you unlock the power of mindfulness. From stress reduction to fostering resilience, discover tools for lasting well-being.
Mindful Movement: Find balance through gentle Mindful Movement sessions, based on Hatha Yoga and QiGong. No previous experience is needed to practise these slow, simple movements, You will have full choice in making any movement appropriate for your body.
Culinary Delights: Indulge in delicious locally sourced, nourishing vegetarian meals cooked for you in the retreat kitchen and eaten in the communal dining area. You will be invited to enjoy silent Breakfasts.
Sound Bath: “Bathe” in the healing vibrations of sound. This immersive gong bath will be facilitated by Fiona, our host at the retreat.

Who is the retreat for?

This retreat is suitable for anyone who would like to to explore greater connection with themselves and with the nurturing power of nature in a supportive setting. Meditation & Mindfulness beginners are welcome, as are experienced meditators and meditation teachers. All are welcome to this nourishing space. The Location:

The centre is located in the Ox Mountains in the West of Ireland. overlooking the countryside below with Kesh Mountain and Knocknashee (The Hill of the Fairies) in the distance. This is the perfect place to enjoy the picturesque countryside and the abundance of wild nature.
The custom built, unique octagonal retreat studio at Cabragh Lodge offers a peaceful tranquil and energised space, perfect for workshops and mindfulness sessions. Large windows keep the space refreshingly light and airy. Ecologically built, and sympathetic to the indigenous landscape, this beautiful wooden centre is fully equipped for group sessions, with kitchen and dining facilities on site.

The Centre is just 5 km. from Coolaney village and there are many varied and interesting walks in the surrounding hills and mountains.

The Accommodation:

Nestled in the hazel woodlands around the Centre there are 4 beautiful, en-suite wooden eco cabins. These self-contained, 2 bedroom wooden houses accommodate a maximum of 16 people. A fitted kitchen provides all you need for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The kitchen area comes complete with cutlery, crockery and glassware. Tea and coffee are provided. Sheets, towels and duvets are of a high quality, designed to ensure cosiness and warmth. There are hairdryers, an iron and an ironing board provided. The en-suite bathrooms have a shower, toilet, and wash hand basin. The beds can be configured either with 2 singles beds in a room or one king size. Each has an outdoor deck with patio furniture to savour the sounds and the sights of the forest and nearby mountain life. Guests comment on the peaceful energy and the delightful wood aroma of this unique accommodation.

Built to a passive design standard, with a minimal impact in the local scenic environment, the cabins have adjustable electrical heating, partially supplied by the centre’s own turbine.

€425 for shared room occupancy (sharing with 1 other person)
€575 for single room occupancy (PLEASE NOTE: only 2 rooms are available for single occupancy. Please book early if you would like to book a room to yourself).
All fees include 2 night’s accommodation and teachers’ fees. Also included are meals Friday eve, Sat breakfast/lunch/dinner, Sunday breakfast/lunch.
