Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy 8 Week Group

February 21, 2024 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm UTC+0

Struggling with stress, fear, or mood issues? Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy is a research supported approach found to be helpful for those with a history of depression, anxiety and trouble coping with stress. This virtual group takes place over 8 weeks, for 2 hours a session. The mindfulness and cognitive skills taught target rumination, and changing our relationship to thoughts and emotions, found to be critical in preventing future episodes. Breakout groups provide members with the opportunity to connect around practice and struggles. This group is best suited for individuals who are between episodes or experiencing mild to moderate symptoms currently as the group requires that participants commit to 45 minutes of daily home practice. Significant trauma symptoms and personality disorders may also prohibit someone from participating.
Blue Cross/Blue Shield and EHP Insurances are accepted for this series. The group fee is slid $40 to $30 for participants with other insurance types. An intake evaluation is required before beginning the group with assessments.
I will begin meeting with interested individuals in December for a group that will start in February. I will meet with interested people until the group fills. Please be in touch if you would like to learn more or set up an intake.
As a Psychologist covered by PsyPact legislation, I am able to work with individuals located in 40 states in the US. Please email me to learn more.
