Meditation for the New Year: Clearing Out, Welcoming In

I’m offering this virtual meditation gathering to welcome in the new year. This beautiful, often busy time of year can evoke a mix of emotions—hope, joy, sorrow, stress, love, loneliness, nostalgia, disappointment, gratitude. All this and more, sometimes all of it at once! In this gathering, we’ll reflect on what you want to bring into focus in 2024. What do you want to experience and bring into being in the coming year?

The class includes a short talk and reflection on the natural and cultural significance of this time, a guided meditation, and time to share or journal. If you wish, bring a candle and something to write with; a piece of moss agate or clear quartz (or any other stone or crystal you love); some cinnamon, clove or an orange; a pinecone, mistletoe or evergreen branch—anything that connects you to this season and that symbolizes light, warmth and new beginnings.
