Meditation for May: Opening to Vitality and Hope

Early May is the midpoint between the spring equinox and the summer solstice, a time of fertility and growth, a time to celebrate potential and hope. As the days grow longer, this is a wonderful time to draw on the liveliness of nature to spark fresh energy in ourselves and reconnect with what matters most. What’s lighting you up? What are you dreaming about that wants to come forth? Whatever you’re reaching for, there’s an abundance of creative energy to tap into now!

In this gathering, we’ll reflect on what feels most vital, paying special attention to what warms our hearts, what sparks hope and possibility. There will be a short talk, a guided meditation, maybe some gentle movement or music. If you wish, bring something that inspires you—a candle (bonfires are a traditional ritual at this time, so something symbolizing fire can be especially potent now), flowers or a plant, a piece of quartz, jasper or amazonite, or an image of anything that energizes you.
