Learn How To Manage Stress and Anxiety with Mindfulness: 4 Sessions

During this 4 session workshop (6/21/2023; 6/28/2023; 7/12/2023; and 7/19/2023), you will develop a better understanding of the power of your mind by learning how to more effectively manage anxiety and/or stress using mindfulness techniques and concepts. This workshop will guide you toward new ways to recognize, manage, and relate differently to inner dialog, physical sensations in the body, and emotions that may contribute to stress and/or anxiety. You will explore how acceptance, choosing to live in your values, and taking action to make changes impacts your relationship with anxiety and/or stress. This workshop, which includes educational sessions, breathing practices, guided meditations, and journaling practices, will help you develop confidence and guide you toward accessing your true, courageous, authentic self.
Session 1, 6/21/2023, will introduce the basic concepts of mindfulness, how and where stress and anxiety show up in our bodies, creating an anchor for meditation and acceptances versus aversion.
Session 2, 6/28/2023, will focus on mindful breathwork, how stress changes our brain and the mindfulness cure, and the role emotions play in our management of stress.
Session 3, 7/12/2023, will focus on the role that thinking plays in our stressed out selves, and how to use mindfulness to free ourselves from overthinking.
Session 4: 7/19/2023, will explore your values and how self compassion can ease the sting of stress and anxiety.
