Our ‘Introduction to Mindfulness’ one-day workshop explores the key principles of living mindfully, and offers some core meditation practices to help sustain mindfulness in daily life. We will explore how cultivating this particular kind of attention – deliberate, embodied, kind and flexible – can be helpful for our wellbeing, and for navigating the inevitable challenges of life skilfully. We will look at where mindfulness comes from and and some of the latest scientific evidence for its effectiveness. Participants are pointed to ways they can begin to develop their own mindfulness practice. The workshop offers an opportunity for those curious about mindfulness or considering an eight-week course to get a taste of the approach, and a chance for those who have been introduced to mindfulness – perhaps via an app or previous introductory sessions – to refresh and deepen their understanding and experience.

The workshops are led by Ed Halliwell and will run from 9.30am-3pm UK time online via Zoom.
