Rebecca Eldridge served as an MBSR Teacher and MBSR Teacher Trainer at UMass Medical School’s Center for Mindfulness (CFM) until the CFM closed in 2019. She trained the CFM’s MBSR teaching faculty to deliver MBSR online, and is also one of a limited number of MBSR teachers worldwide certified as a calibrated rater of MBSR teacher competencies. Rebecca now serves as Director of East Coast Mindfulness, a totally online meditation center that offers MBSR and other mindfulness programs globally to individuals and organizations wanting to access more resilience and joy, and better rest. Her present and past clients include Bose, NASA, and Houston Methodist Medical System. Rebecca’s personal meditation practice is guided by her teacher, Pema Chödrön, and she is featured giving meditation instruction in two meditation courses taught by Pema Chödrön: "Making Friends with Yourself" and "How to Live with Compassion and Courage." She has participated in many months-long meditation retreats, mostly in silence. She has also written articles for Diabetic Living about meditation for reducing stress and increasing compassion.
