Vivian is a UCLA Certified Mindfulness Facilitator & CMT-P designated by the International Mindfulness Teachers Association. She began her mindfulness training in the Plum Village tradition founded by Thich Nhat Hanh. She trained with Joanna Macy in the Work That Reconnects to help activists maintain their resilience and further their impact in the social, economic, and ecological systems we find ourselves. She is a Lead Coach of Shinzen Young’s Unified Mindfulness modality and an authorized teacher of the UCLA Mindful Awareness Practices curriculum. She has studied within Buddhist, Christian Contemplative, and secular communities in addition to the ways of her indigenous Assyrian ancestors - all of which inform her unique approach to her mindfulness offerings. She provides private training and group classes that draw from all these modalities to create a bespoke experience for her clients. She is experienced in providing in-person & virtual programs.
