Branch Training: MBCT to Mindfulness for Life – 2- day Teacher Training

November 9, 2024 @ 8:00 am - November 16, 2024 @ 5:00 pm GMT

£320

This programme assumes you are already trained to teach MBCT through a recognised, trainer-led, 1-year teacher training programme and have a regular personal mindfulness practice (see Section C of the Good Practice Guidelines). Mindfulness for Life is a development of MBCT for the general population. Its structure is similar to the original MBCT for depression, with eight weekly sessions, home practice, and an all-day session. Alongside many of the practices and exercises from the original MBCT, it provides new practices and exercises to teach skills both for managing what is painful and difficult and for increasing wellbeing and flourishing. This workshop introduces the theoretical background and rationale for Mindfulness for Life, the structure and sequence of the curriculum, and the new practices and exercises.

PLEASE NOTE This curriculum is intended to be delivered to adults over 18 years of age and is not applicable to children

Curriculum materials and handouts for teaching the course are provided.

IMPORTANT: You do not need to complete this workshop if you are currently on the OMF 12-month cohort training route

The OMF provides Confirmation of Attendance letters to all participants who attend 100% of our training event.

SPECIAL NOTE Bangor students are eligible for the 2-day MBCT to MBCT-L training if they have completed the module “Teaching 2” of the Masters programme and specialised in MBCT not MBSR. Otherwise they need to do the 5 day training.
