Teacher
Professional and qualified Mindfulness teacher, trainer and supervisor with 15 yrs. of experience teaching MBCT /MBCT-L in person and online to various groups and individuals globally. 20 yrs. of background training in Medicine and Buddhism offers me an excellent foundation in kindness and compassionate embodiment. I adhere to Good Practice Guidelines for Mindfulness-based teaching and frequently engage in ongoing CPD training and retreats each year. Through Mindfullybeing, I help and support people and progressive organisations to create positive lasting change using my expertise and experience in mindfulness (especially MBCT). I pioneered and established Mindfulness Initiatives at The Royal Edinburgh Hospital, University of Edinburgh, Edinburgh Napier and Queen Margaret University, which are now core services for staff and students. I completed an in-depth and rigorous Postgraduate Certificate in Mindfulness-Based Programs (MBP) (in 2010), and am currently engaged in a Mindfulness Masters's degree (2020-22) through CMRP, Bangor University. In 2017 my unique, Kind And Mindful Approach to Life (KAMAL) program was given an Impact Award, and I have also appeared several times on BBC Radio Scotland to talk about Mindfulness. At Mindfullybeing, we offer bespoke training courses for organisations and workplaces. Our mindfulness-based programs give knowledge workers tools to enhance their inner happiness and resilience and live and work less stressfully. We deliver training to many organisations, including Ernst Young, Amazon, Skyscanner, The University of Edinburgh, the Scottish Government, NHS Lothian, Royal Edinburgh Hospital, Queen Margaret University, Usher Institute and Edinburgh Napier University.
