DESCRIPTION:If you’re new to mindfulness\, or you’d like to come back to it after some time out\, our 3-week Introducing Mindfulness course gives you a brief taste of mindfulness practice and theory. \nDelivered weekly\, in this course you’ll explore three core mindfulness themes\, each designed to support you in your daily life: How to train your attention and how this can fundamentally shape your experiences\, learning new ways of being and how this can help support you in any moment\, recognising the difference between responding and reacting and exploring how this understanding can shape the quality of your life. \nThe group sessions are led by an experienced Oxford Mindfulness teacher and combine learning\, experiential mindfulness practices\, trying out what’s learned in your daily life\, and group discussions. \nThis is a structured course\, with the theme of each session building on the learning and experience from the previous week. You’ll also be invited to continue to practise the sessions’ themes through some ‘home practice’.

DESCRIPTION:This mindfulness course supports learning how to respond more consciously to the pace and pressures of everyday life. Rooted in ancient contemplative traditions and informed by contemporary research in neuroscience\, psychology\, and mind–body medicine it offers a practical and experiential approach to mindfulness. \nThrough the course\, you’ll develop a clearer understanding of your inner patterns\, learning to observe thoughts\, emotions\, and reactions with greater gentleness and curiosity. You’ll explore ways of caring for yourself more skilfully and be introduced to a range of practical tools that support inner steadiness\, clarity and moments of ease. \nThe course is suitable for beginners as well as those wishing to deepen an existing meditation practice. It is gently and caringly guided by Helen\, a qualified Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) teacher\, certified in Trauma-Sensitive Mindfulness. \nIt is offered in-person\, in Auroville (Tamil Nadu\, India) with daily sessions from 7.30am-9.30am and 9.30 – 4pm Saturday.
