ONLINE WORKSHOP | Mindfulness for Addictive Behaviours

September 8, 2022 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm BST

Join us for a two-hour workshop exploring mindfulness in the context of addictive behaviour with Devin Ashwood, leading addictions specialist, and Nicola Mouat, mental health nurse and mindfulness teacher specialising in addiction.

Through psychoeducation, group discussion and short mindfulness practices, this online introductory workshop will cover a range of themes. The workshop is based on the Mindfulness Based Relapse Prevention (MBRP) course, developed at the University of Washington for individuals in recovery from addictive behaviours.
The workshop is suitable for anyone who is affected by addictive behaviours, be that smoking, alcohol, drugs, food issues, gambling or sex addiction. Attendees should not be physically dependent on substances and attend the workshop sober and clean.

Full details are available on The Mindfulness Project’s website.

The Mindfulness Project has been offering mindfulness courses in our London (UK) space since 2014, and offering online mindfulness courses since 2016. Our vision has always been to create an innovative platform for sharing mindfulness with as many people as possible. By offering a secular and evidence-based approach, we hope to teach our audience what meditation is and help make learning mindfulness meditation more accessible and relatable to a mainstream audience while keeping it real and meaningful.
