Online – Foundational Teacher Training Programme – Weekly teaching block format

The aim of this online training programme provides a solid platform for developing your teaching. The course is suitable for those who have completed the prerequisites for the course and are able and willing to work towards the British Association of Mindfulness-Based Approaches BAMBA ‘Good Practice Guidelines’ for UK Mindfulness-Based Teachers(https://bamba.org.uk/). The training is suitable for both clinicians and for those aiming to teach in a non clinical setting.

The Oxford Mindfulness Centre, within the Department of Psychiatry, University of Oxford, has been at the forefront of mindfulness research and training since 2008. At the Oxford Mindfulness Centre (OMC) our mission is to reduce suffering, promote resilience and realise human potential across the lifespan through mindfulness. Its work is supported through a collaborative agreement between the University of Oxford and an independent not-for-profit charity, the Oxford Mindfulness Foundation (OMF). The mission is accomplished through robust training programmes and a range of accessibility initiatives all informed and shaped by rigorous scientific research. The OMC works to advance the understanding of evidence based mindfulness through research, publication, training and advocacy. We engage in: Research – undertaking world leading academic research and initiatives to promote mindfulness in the wider community. Training – we offer training in how to become an MBCT teacher and a programme of continuing professional development. Teaching – we offer introductory MBCT courses, open to all, throughout the year. Charitable initiatives – we actively work to make MBCT accessible to all.
