New: Essentials Training – Cultivating and Conveying Mindfulness

February 16, 2023 @ 6:00 pm - February 26, 2023 @ 6:00 pm GMT

£705

The Essentials is a 5-day training open to anyone with a interest in mindfulness practice who wants to learn more about mindfulness, either to enrich your personal practice or as a first step towards leading mindfulness practices. After this course you should have more insight into your own mindfulness practice, be able to lead others in short mindfulness practices, and consider going on to develop skills to teach mindfulness.

This entry level training, delivered in retreat conditions, seeds the essence of every day mindful living and mindfulness-based teaching: how to become more embodied, how to relate more skilfully to the world and other people, and how to guide yourself and others in mindfulness practice. With guidance from highly experienced trainers, you will explore mindfulness of body, mind, feeling tone and experience, while wider issues such as trauma sensitivity, unconscious bias, societal and environmental issues will be woven through each day. This is an essential first step in an extended training programme, currently under development in collaboration with Bangor University, to have wider applicability and greater accessibility.

The course will be taught in two modules: 16th-19th February and 24th-26th February 2023

Bio

The Mindfulness Network is a registered charity. We serve the mindfulness community and general public through supervision, retreats and training courses delivered both in-person and via our online platform - the Mindfulness Network Community site. The Mindfulness Network Community Friends (MNCF) is an initiative to engage the wider mindfulness community and reach new audiences through donation-based events and opportunities to practice. Led by a Committee of Volunteers, supported by the Mindfulness Network, we work together to run a programme of events and inspiring content. By developing mindfulness and compassion both internally and through our services, the Mindfulness Network has the intention to reduce/alleviate human suffering, promote well-being and create the conditions in which people, communities and the planet, can flourish. We aim to bring together highly-trained mindfulness-based supervisors, retreat leaders and teacher trainers who all work within Good Practice Standards set out by the British Association of Mindfulness-Based Approaches (BAMBA).
