Mindfulness as Pathway to Deeper Self-Care

“Take care of yourself” sounds simple, but it is not easy. While most people agree that self-care is important for overall wellness, the term is so vague that it can be difficult to know what “self-care” looks like practically. Even after figuring out what self-care is, it can be challenging to find ways to integrate it into a life that is filled with family, work, and social demands. Join mindfulness teacher, Robyn L. Gobin, Ph.D. for a 90-minute workshop exploring how mindfulness can be used to deepen self-care. We will discuss strategies for:
– integrating six different types of self-care to help you feel more grounded and equipped to manage the stresses of life
– applying the seven qualities of mindfulness to your self-care practice to experience a greater sense of peace and ease
– creating a sustainable self-care practice that can be maintained even in the busiest seasons of life
This workshop will involve mindfulness practices and opportunities for discussion. This event is well-suited for both new and seasoned meditators. Individuals at all levels of self-care practice (i.e., none, some, a lot) are welcome!
