Mindful Movement: Chair Yoga & T’ai Chi Exercise

This is an 8-week online class for older men and women, people who have difficulty getting up and down from the floor or anyone who would enjoy a gentle approach to mindful movement. As a senior myself, having taught both Yoga and T’ai Chi for 25 + years, I understand what it’s like to be in an older body and how to best take care of ourselves while improving our health and well-being. Beginners are warmly encouraged to attend. Let’s Keep Moving!

Combining easy-to-follow movements from Gentle Hatha Yoga with T’ai Chi exercises (Shibashi), you will gain flexibility, stamina, energy, strength and balance, improved circulation and lower blood pressure. You’ll also enjoy mindfulness meditation and relaxation for enhanced inner peace. You may choose to stand or sit (or some of each) depending on your ability and/or preferences. The class is currently offered on Zoom. It’s not only beneficial – it’s fun! Just dress comfortably and have a sturdy chair with no arms.
