SOMA – The Science of Mindful Awareness: Meditation Teacher Training, presented by The Mindfulness Center®*, featuring Dr. Deborah Norris and other world-renowned faculty, teaches both the science and practice of mindfulness. Whether you are interested in teaching in health care, education, business or any other community, you will learn the science of mindfulness practices, how they work and why. As the world’s first entirely online meditation teacher training program, launched in 2015, students in this program come from all over the world. Certification through The Mindfulness Center® is recognized by hospitals, universities and public schools systems, businesses and government agencies throughout the United States and other countries. This self-paced program offers open-enrollment, monthly live sessions with Dr. Norris and other faculty, key resources for your future teaching, a community of experienced meditators.

“Loved this lesson and the reminder about baseline and getting to it more easily and quickly with practice as well as to explore different times/positions/ways to practice. Down, down , down – heavy, really felt held and supported by the earth as though lying down though in fact was sitting up. Could really feel the energy following my attention as Debbie guided the breath in and down, down, down and out the bottoms of my feet. Knowing I AM a radiant being whether I ‘sense it or not make me automatically smile and feel lighter. The ‘or not’ is what made me smile and know that I AM felt so good.”
