Meditation for the Summer Solstice: Relaxing Into the Light

June 20, 2023 @ 7:30 pm - 8:30 pm UTC-4

Donation based

I’m offering these meditations in alignment with the solstices, equinoxes and their midpoints, an annual cycle sometimes called the Great Wheel of the Year—a wonderful way to relate to nature, no matter where you live! In this next gathering, we’ll connect with the invigorating and languorous energies of the summer solstice. Midsummer (as this season is known) is a time to celebrate light, to give thanks for the clarity and insights that may come to us in this ‘shining’ moment. It’s a time to honor inner power and brightness, and to also just laze about for a bit and daydream, an essential activity that helps us grow and deepen. This gathering includes a short talk and reflection on the natural and cultural significance of this time, a guided meditation, and time to reflect and share. How is your year unfolding? Are there plans or dreams that are coming to fruition, or that you’re leaning into? In what areas of your life would you like to shine more light? If you wish, bring something that ‘enlightens’ you—a candle, a sunflower or rose, some honey, a gold coin or piece of jewelry, a piece of sunstone or citrine—whatever resonates with you as a symbol of abundance, hope and radiance. Please register if you’d like to attend. I look forward to seeing you!

I offer these classes freely and also gratefully accept support for my teaching via Venmo (@Laura-Smith-1050) or PayPal (@laurasmith1587). Thank you ❤
