Day Retreat: New Year, New Possibilities – Online
January 13, 2023 @ 7:00 pm - January 14, 2023 @ 5:00 pm GMT
£19 – £99

ABOUT THE RETREAT
A healthy body is at the top of most new year resolution lists, but what about a healthy mind?
Neuroscience research shows that mindfulness meditation can change the brain’s structure for major benefits to wellbeing including improved regulation of emotions and reduced levels of stress.
Led by experienced mindfulness teacher and coach Karen Liebenguth, this day retreat has been designed to set you on a path of new possibilities for 2023. You will explore how to bring awareness to habits that may be limiting you and develop practices for nurturing a healthy and balanced mindset.
The first half of the day will look at common habits of the mind that can set us on a downward spiral. These include attachment, sluggishness, restlessness, anxiety and doubt. You will explore how to recognise limiting habits, and most importantly how toapproach them with awareness, kindness and sensitivity.
The second half of the day will examine how you can nurture a positive mindset for new possibilities to flourish in your life. You will learn practices of mindfulness that can be antidotes to unhealthy habits and explore ways of creating more openness, clarity, stillness and equanimity in day-to-day life.
Please note, there will be an hour-long introductory check-in on the evening prior to the retreat. The retreat day will consist of guided meditations, reflective practices and peer discussion in small and larger groups.
“Working with our mind is one of the most remarkable things we can do with our human life” – Vidyamala Burch, Co-founder of Breathworks.
